چکیده
Flax fiber reinforced composites are demonstrating promising outcomes which make them potential candidates to replace synthetic in various industrial applications. However, there is limited information regarding their long-term performance, and it usually acknowledged that natural fibers less resistant than counterparts. In this context, crucial study durability before considering use for structural rehabilitation strengthening construction. This research aims predict the performance of flax polymer (FFRP) with a biobased epoxy matrix. The test program consists exposing FFRP laminates strengthened concrete slabs different accelerated ageing conditions over total period two years. present study, not single stress variable but combinations coupling environmental variables, temperature (T) relative humidity (RH), considered, thereby distinguishing from most works reported literature. Then, series mechanical destructive tests performed periodically on aged samples evaluate property evolutions time. collected experimental data analyzed develop evolution model service lifetime new composite. For that, Tweedie exponential dispersion (TED) process model, takes some famous stochastic processes (Wiener process, Gamma inverse Gaussian process) as special cases, investigated. TED modeling, particularly interesting cases complicated degradation mechanisms, written here and, finally, reliability analysis based determined carried out order update FRP design equations provided by international codes specific case FFRP.

Overview of Flax Fiber Reinforced Thermoplastic Composites
Flax fibres are oftenly used for reinforcing thermoplastic to manufacture biocomposite materials exhibiting numerous advantages such as high mechanical properties, low density and biodegradability. The mechanical properties of a biocomposite material depends on the nature and orientation of the fibres, the nature of the matrix and mainly on the adhesion between fiber and the polymer matrix. The...
متن کاملAn Acoustic Emission Study of Flax Fiber-Reinforced Polypropylene Composites
Sensitivity to crack propagation in flax fiber-reinforced polypropylene (PP) composites has been examined on SEN-T specimens. The sound waves that arise due to loading have been investigated with the acoustic emission method. Linear functional relationship has been revealed between the number of acoustic events that occur during loading and the fracture toughness. It has also been observed that...
متن کاملevaluation of Tweedie exponential dispersion model densities ∗
Exponential dispersion models, which are linear exponential families with a dispersion parameter, are the prototype response distributions for generalized linear models. The Tweedie families are those exponential dispersion models with power mean-variance relationships. The normal, Poisson, gamma and inverse Gaussian distributions are Tweedie families. Apart from these special cases, Tweedie di...
متن کاملFiber reinforced plastic composites using recycled materials
This work investigates the feasibility of using recycled high density polyethylene (rHDPE), recycled polypropylene (rPP) and old newsprint fiber (ONP) to manufacture fiber reinforced composites. The boards were made through air-forming and hot press. The effects of the fiber loading and coupling agent content on tensile, flexural, internal bond properties and water absorption and thickness swel...
متن کاملChemical Modification of Flax Reinforced Polypropylene Composites
This paper presents an experimental study on the static and dynamic mechanical properties of nonwoven based flax fibre reinforced polypropylene composites. The effect of zein modification on flax fibres is also reported. Flax nonwovens were treated with zein coupling agent, which is a protein extracted from corn. Composites were prepared using nonwovens treated with zein solution. The tensile, ...
